Summers at Albrook

This summer open your child's eyes to the world around them. We have a wonderful summer day camp program. Our facility has two heated in-ground pools, air-conditioned classrooms, and extensive playgrounds. Our summer camp program is staffed with Montessori trained teachers and experienced lifeguards and swim instructors. Each program is instructed by a trained teacher.

Explore the World

Offered Session 1
Ages 5 1/2 to 6 and 7 to 9
Children must be 5 years old by January 1, 2012

Learn about the continents with hands-on materials. Projects, multi-media computers and a variety of resources will be available to enhance your knowledge of the world. Enjoy daily swim lessons in our heated pools.

Exploring Nature

Offered Session 2, 3, 4
Ages 5 1/2 to 6 and 7 to 9
Children must be 5 years old by January 1, 2012

Join naturalist Dominic Rizzo again this summer to open up the world of animal kingdoms through hands-on experiences with real life creatures. Enjoy the many new projects the Albrook teachers have prepared to expand your knowledge and excite your interest in nature. Explore the world of reptiles, insects, amphibians, mammals, animal signs and sea life. A field trip is planned for full day campers registered for session 3. Enjoy a daily swim lesson in our heated pools.

Cooking Around the World

Offered Session 4
Ages 6 through 9

Tantalize your taste buds with culinary delights from around the world. Inspire your sense of taste with a stop at each continent as you expand your knowledge of geography. Enjoy this interactive approach to exploring the globe. Enjoy a daily swim lesson in our heated pools.

Creative Montessori

Offered Session 1, 2, 3, 4
Ages 4 through 6

The Montessori environment enables the child to learn through a hands-on approach while having fun. Weekly themes will be explored through individual and group lessons with engaging projects to reinforce learning. Enjoy daily swim lessons in our heated pools.

Creative Nature

Offered Session 2, 3, 4
Ages 4 through 5

Become a young naturalist and explore the wonders of nature. Each session will offer different topics relating to nature and science. Hands-on materials, books, songs, and art activities will be used to enhance each topic. Enjoy daily swim lessons in our heated pools.

Fun with Mathematics

Offered Session 3
Ages 6 through 9

Explore math concepts with hands-on Montessori materials, the computer lab and creative projects. Have fun with geometry, measurement and math operations while enhancing math problem solving skills. Enjoy daily swim lessons in our heated pools.

Creative Writing

Offered Session 2
Ages 6 through 9

Increase your writing ability in a mixed age writing workshop. Benefit from small group daily writing lessons while creatively producing your own handmade book. Stimulate your imagination while improving writing skills. Daily swim lessons will complete their morning.
